Course Description
Students are trained and educated in the theories and practices of cosmetology with the goal of preparing them for future employment. You'll be immersed in the best applicable practices in: business, safety, sanitation, skills necessary in working with the public, client relationship techniques, being independent, and developing an ethical approach to the profession.
Course Goals
As an SBA student, you'll have the opportunity to become a cosmetology service provider with professional standards in cosmetology, esthetics and nails.
- Curriculum includes theory and practical experience in all phases of
cosmetology necessary to meet licensing requirements
- You'll be prepared to pass the required state exams
- You'll learn skills and efficiency needed to work in a professional salon
- You'll acquire knowledge in employer/employee relationships, including
effective communication competencies on how to build a client base
Class Format and Instructional Technique
Classes at SBA are taught in a tier system, where we build a strong foundation in the comfort of a classroom, and then refine each student's abilities through a mixture of classroom and clinic activities, which include mannequin work, model days, and completing client services under the support and coaching of our instructors.
Convenient Class Schedules
We've structured our class schedules with the needs of our students in mind. SBA offers 2 options that will allow you to maintain your work schedule and social life while getting an education. Full time students attend class 4 days per week. Part time students attend class 4 nights per week. Please contact us to receive additional information on our schedules.
